Better customer service through social media

If you have a large customer base, are you tracking social media to see what others are saying about you and your organization?

Your IT professionals can show you ways to search social media for people who are talking about your organization. While you’re at it, you may want to see what is posted about your competitors too! You may get some interesting feedback that you would’ve missed otherwise.

You may also assign some of your customer service professionals to accept contacts through social media. In fact, you may empower them to perform tasks for your customers such as refunding shipping up to a specific amount of money. For example, you may give customer service leeway to tell them that they can solve any customer’s problem however they want as long as the expense to your organization does not exceed $50.
